Community of Vi & Vim, I'm retiring as one of your elected moderators. I expect things to be official by Thursday, 10th July 2025.

When I was elected some 5 years ago, I had the energy of a younger man. I still visit the site regularly, but I find myself writing fewer answers and engaging less frequently in moderation—much of that is due to an excellent team of more recently elected moderators.

I am proud to have served you all, and I think it is time for me to pass the torch to the next cadre of stewards. My purpose has always been to lead by example, so I'm excited to return to "normie" land, where I can still effectively steward the site without a diamond by editing, voting, and curating.
